HMD Named One of Asia’s 50 Top Enterprises

Honorary Citizen

Mr. Silvano Raimondi, who works at HMD as the chief supervisor of Montanari in Italy, was granted the title of honorary citizen of Ulasn. Since working as a superintendent for Italian owner Bottiglieri in 2001, he has worked as a supervisor for Italian owners at HMD. Naming Ceremonies

There were naming ceremonies for two vessels at HMD on August 18th for owner Norddeutsche Vermogen Holding GmBH of Germany. Hull No. 4025, a 4,300 TEU Containership, was named Cap George, and Hull No. 4026, also a 4,300 TEU Containership, was named Cap Gilbert by the shipowner. First Steel-Cutting at HVS

On August 1st Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS), a Vietnamese subsidiary of Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, began its newbuilding business with the first steel-cutting ceremony of its first vessel. Approximately 200 people attended the momentous ceremony, including the CEO of HMD, head clerk Kanh Hoa, and the president of Vinashin Shipyard. First LPG Carrier Delivered

Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD) successfully delivered its first LPG carrier on August 22nd. HMD held a naming ceremony for Hull No. 8005, a 20,600m³LPG carrier for Zodiac Maritime of the United Kingdom.
